![]() ![]() And ultimately it shouldn't matter what data a subscriber wants to retrieve, it's our data and if we have been paying for it then we should have access to ALL OF IT for the entirety of the days that we paid for a subscription and that data should be accessible until either we delete it permanently ( because I also believe Google should build in a double delete system to cut down on accidental deletions from subscribers also.), or until multiple notices and opportunities are given to save the data before Google deletes it. Certainly what I was wanting to keep history of was not nearly as important as what some of you needed it for (like trying to catch a burger in your homes.I'm so sorry any of you experienced this.). I only wanted to confrim if my house cleaner cleaned all the "special" areas I had requested because it didn't look like she had touched any of them, yet I paid her extra for it. I'm registering my complaint just after I post this. And Google isn't too big to be affected if enough people keep taking it to them about this issue so keep the complaints going up the line on this is my best advice. When the entire foundation of a device's necessity and performance is so negatively impacted and the company fails to improve the conditions that would alleviate the negative impact, eventually, as long as subscribers continue to take the time to either complain to the company or disontinue their business, at some point that company will have to address the issue or suffer the loss of business. And with the reach/access Google has regarding data/information/technical capabilities, in addition to the vast number of complaints about this very issue, Google should be ashamed and embarrassed that they have not fixed their notification practices regarding events or actions that would/could prompt deletion of important data that a subscriber might need. The most irritating part of the whole thing is that creating and giving subscribers notice ANYTIME ANY ACTION could or would result in deletion of their videos doesn't require a lot of effort on Google's part, but would make a HUGE positive impact for all their subscribers. Anyway, prior to fixing the payment expiration date/card info, I could see the videos I needed, but as most of you mentioned here, both the email notification nor the Nest App/,Google Home App warned me that I wouldn't have access to the video clips after fixing the issue. I did so in response to a notification email from Google the day before so I'm not exactly sure if my subscription lapsed or not before I could fix the payment info. I didn't realize that my payment method for subscriptions needed an updated expiration date so my most recent payment was held until I edited my card with the new expiration date. Sadly needed a video clip that I could see before renewing my subscription. ![]() ![]() I like the Hub Max bc it allows me time I'd otherwise not have again with my beloved dog. Instead, I've exacerbated the situation by adding Google and associated tradespeople to my stress. Id hoped that by installing cameras the abuse and vandalism would cease. The time, energy, money spent believing that finally there wd be some protectection against nasty religious fanatic neighbors. I have a simple name which Ive given up trying to spell. The months of wasted hours spent on the phone with 10 different Google departments none of which are located in a country where I speak their language. Complete loss of Trust in anything Google. Trusting that something would eventually function as advertised or promised, trust that installers actually came prepared to install. Sadly, the largest and most costly investment of all has been trust and the loss thereof. The money Ive spent on 2 doorbelks is obscene $1500 on doorbell after doorbell after doorbell, plus the cost of multiple installations and service techs,, additional unnecessary transformers and useless Nest Aware subscriptions. I'm ready to trash everything Google doorbell equipment related, done with being 3rd party robbed. I also thank you for the heads-up about a better, more reliable security camera w/a service that functions. ![]() I sorry so many have had the same lousy experiences Ive had. ![]()
